Ombudsman's Findings

by osmodiar @ 28/03/08 - 23:45:03

Well I received the Ombudsman's review yesterday. And as expected they still find in favour of Scottish Power. I am still left without an explanation as to what has changed in my home electricity supply. The Ombudsman insists that the meter has tested within normal parameters therefore I must have used that amount of electricity. Yet the fact remains that since the meter was changed to a digital meter my electrical usage has halved.

I am not content to have my electricity consumption miraculously half after nine years without an explanation. Therefore I have already commenced a complaint surrounding the handling of my case. I complained about my electricity supply, and yet everyone wants to talk about meter function. If that is the case then my new meter must be faulty as it does not read as high as any previous meter I've had. If it is accurate then a fault still exists as again it does not read the high levels of electricity consumption that previous meters read.

Still waiting

by osmodiar @ 07/03/08 - 23:12:51

Sorry for not posting for a while, but I have had nothing to post on the electrical situation. I still haven't heard from anyone. I can only assume that my story was not appealing enough for "Don't get done, get Dom" as I've heard nothing since speaking to a researcher. And I am still waiting for a reply from the Ombudsman. It's been around seven weeks since I sent my last information to them countering all Scottish Powers claims, and as yet no response.

I would have thought that as they had already seen all the facts and deliberated for eight weeks prior to this, then surely the second review of the information would not have taken so long. I'm not complaining though, as the old saying goes "No news is Good News"
