I have always maintained that there have been 2 possibilities to explain my current electrical situation (no pun intended). They have been that either the original wiring to the property has been cocked up and my neighbours house draws partial power from my supply or my meter was faulty and replaced with a fully functional meter. However a third option has just dawned on me.
When the new meter was fitted on the 10/04/07 we never saw it being fitted. At the time our attention was taken up by Ray Jackson from OFGEM and Johann Ellis of Scottish Power. We did not see what the electrician did. Did he alter something else whilst fitting the meter? Strange that my electrical usage has dropped since that date.
My wife also pointed out from our readings of the meter, that until the meter was changed there was a gradual reduction in our usage as we switched heating down then off. But from that day there was a sudden drop of 14 units per day. That amounts to an entire days worth of electricity for an average user.
I know what that suggests to me!!

I do't expect you have or can get the old meter back? Something's definitely seems wrong doesn't it? Good luck, C.
